SKILLED ART WORKSHOP

This workshop happens as a consequence of the results achieved in the Skilled Art Project, on interface research and development and associated strategies for the creation and maintenance of transdisciplinary communities of knowledge. Developing upon computer vision based representations of bioelectromagnetism – as a culture of interactions between biological entities – this workshop will focus on the musicality of the body, towards the development of invisible fields of expression. This sessions aim to explore crossings between the thesis of Guto Nóbrega, on art as a field phenomenon, with the pratical aplications of Luis Miguel Girão, promoting bioelectromagnetism as the new form of artistic expression. MIGRATION FROM INTERACTIVE TO INTEGRATIVE ART

A dialogue about concepts resulting from the daily life integration of digital technologies . Ways of how a technology based artistic practice can take advantage of ubiquity to significantly contribute to the development of contemporary societies with a special focus on Colective Computation.

A PANEL OF PROJECTS

An informal presentation of projects by artists/researchers Fernanda Gomes, Guto Nóbrega e Luis Miguel Girão. LAB D2 (Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, Brazil), ECOTELEMEDIA (Brazil, Denmark and China) and SKILLED ART (Portugal and UK) are some of the international projects to be approached. The main aim of this gathering is to promote an environment for discussions about diverse possibilities of dialogue and contamination between art languages, technology and comunication.

Rolf Gehlhaar and Rodrigo Carvalho gathered at e-learning café (Universidade do Porto) from 6 to 14 August, followed by Luis Girão and André Romão for tests, experiments and developments.

Skilled Surprise! is yet another event of the Skilled Art Project on interface research and development for the creation and maintenance of transdiciplinary communities of knowledge technologically mediated.

The main purpose of Skilled Surprise is to promote an environment of knowledge sharing through the production of content in real-time. Participants will have questions projected on tables and will be able to record video, sounds, text and drawings, which will be elements of a unique composition, reveling in a creative and participatory way the increasingly evident transdisciplinary character of our contemporary society

Objetivo do experimento era a formação de uma rede de improvisação, com a participaçãode performers, músicos e pessoas que passassem pelo átrio de entrada do DeCA da Universidade de Aveiro.

Os participantes eram convidados a fazer parte de um grupo musical experimental híbrido, resultado da mistura da presença física com a presença virtual.
